For the final blog post for this class I want to refocus on asexuality and gender but this time not use a example of piece mainstream media for representation of asexuality. Instead I want to give shoutouts to art and literary journal AZE, along with The Ace Couple a podcast focused on discussing asexuality and issues pertaining to asexuality.

Who or what is AZE?

AZE as explained before is a art and literary journal that place an emphasize on asexuality, aromanticism, and agender topics. This journal lets anyone who is anyone of those identities to submit a personal essay, drawing, poetry, videos, or other various forms of media to the online journal. Journal like AZE serve as great way of looking beyond mainstream media to find queer viewpoints and queer voices that need to be heard. Many of the pieces submitted are worthwhile read for anyone who may looking for asexual, aromantic, and agender perspective. The Ace Couple

The Ace Couple that runs a podcast that is focused on talking about topics and issues surrounding asexuality and aromanticism. I remember finding their podcast on Youtube about a one or two years ago. I found quite refreshing to listen to people were the topics that they discuss do interest me because I am aroace. They are great way of hearing things from a asexual perspective and even understanding how asexual can be discriminated against when it comes to marriage in the United States. If you are interested in listening to them just look up The Ace Couple on YouTube.

This a great video that goes over how marriage laws can discriminate against asexual couples in the US due the viewpoint that marriage does involve sex, and if a couple is not have sex in a marriage then that marriage is not legitimate in the eyes of the law and the public.
